Senior Assisted Living

If you have already begun the search for senior assisted living, you know how overwhelming this process can feel. Countless senior care facilities and assisted living communities are scattered across the Greenwood Village area. But not all of these options are created equal.

At Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Memory Care, we take a unique, personalized approach to supporting seniors. Our senior assisted living communities feel more like homes than facilities, providing the support you or your loved one needs to age comfortably.

Our assisted living program is the next best thing to aging at home. Instead of feeling confined or limited in your home environment, you can thrive in a residential community that cares about your health, independence, dignity, and well-being.

The Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Memory Care Difference

Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Memory Care is more than just a senior care facility. We follow a boutique residential living model that allows seniors to feel right at home in a comfortable, welcoming, intimate space.

Many of our assisted living homes have space for just 16 residents and are laid out like houses rather than the typical senior care facility. We maintain industry-leading staff-to-resident ratios of 1:5 or 1:6, ensuring that every resident receives the individualized care they deserve.

Moving into assisted living doesn't have to mean sacrificing your independence, comfort, or way of life. At Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Memory Care, you'll have the freedom to continue living your life while friendly, trained staff provide support where you need it.

We understand that everyone has vastly different health needs, abilities, preferences, and goals. We strive to provide personalized senior care that reflects each resident's wishes and allows them to remain independent wherever possible and preferred.

Why Do People Need Memory Care?

Compassionate Assisted Living for Seniors With Daily Support

Our staff undergoes rigorous training to accommodate the evolving, complex needs of our residents. For example, each staff member at Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Memory Care is required to undergo 28 hours of memory care-specific training, along with eight hours of training through the Alzheimer's Association. Ongoing education requirements keep staff up to date with new advancements in senior care and ensure that they continually meet our high standards.

While our 16-resident senior care homes feel more like large houses than assisted living facilities, our staff still delivers a high level of care. Each of our homes has staff members who are on site, awake, and available 24/7 to assist and support you, along with rounding physicians who continually monitor health conditions, symptoms, and treatments.

Our staff provides daily living assistance customized to each resident's needs, including:

    • Medication management
    • Meal preparation
    • Assistance with personal care
    • Health monitoring
    • Housekeeping and maintenance
    • Social engagement
    • Transportation
    • Mobility assistance

Residents feel safe, supported, and at home in our senior living communities. Learn more about who we are and how our caring team meets the needs of our residents.

Daily Life at Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Memory Care

It can be challenging to picture what your life will look like in a senior care community. At Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Memory Care, we strive to help residents maintain their freedom and thrive in a warm, supportive environment. This effort shines in how we structure daily living and the types of amenities we offer residents.

First, we design our senior assisted living communities to resemble comfortable residential homes. Each resident has their own private bedroom with a lock and key. Rooms with private or semi-private bathrooms are also available.

Each home also has several shared spaces for residents to enjoy meals together, participate in activities, or simply hang out. Our common spaces are bright, airy, and spacious. Many residents feel like they're living at a bed and breakfast, where their needs are always accounted for, they can socialize when they want to, and they can still return to their private spaces when they need alone time.

      • Our residents enjoy a range of amenities, with all-inclusive pricing that means nothing is off-limits in their new homes. These include:

      9000 W Virginia Ave Lakewood large 012 008 Kitchen 1500x1000 72dpi
        • Nutritious, home-cooked meals that range from their favorite comfort foods to fun culinary surprises, all prepared with high-quality, fresh ingredients
        • 5+ daily activities for residents to choose from, whether they want a fully social calendar or one or two social activities a day
        • Social outings around the community, with transportation and supportive care provided
        • In-house salons where residents can be pampered and maintain their personal styles without needing to leave home
        • Wide doors and hallways that make navigation easier for those with mobility aids
        • Walk-in jacuzzi tubs for a spa-like bathing experience

Our residents are welcome and encouraged to bring their personal belongings, decorate their rooms with family photos and sentimental items, and adhere to their preferred routines. While we understand that transitioning to a new environment comes with its challenges, we make every effort to help residents feel at home and comfortable.

Exploring the Benefits of Small-Scale Assisted Living Communities

You have a range of options to choose from for assisted living and senior care, but choosing a small-scale residential senior care community offers many valuable benefits.

Personalized care: With the best staff-to-resident ratios in the industry, our assisted living communities ensure that every resident receives personalized care. Our staff takes the time to get to know each resident's preferences, and with only 16 residents living in each home, you can feel confident that you'll be treated like an individual.

A home-like environment: No one wants to feel like they're living in a hospital or medical facility. Our senior living communities are warm and inviting, with hardwood flooring, ample natural lighting, comfortable furniture, and home-like layouts.

Quiet, established neighborhoods: Our assisted living communities are located in quiet residential neighborhoods, as compared to senior care facilities that are often part of commercial developments. You'll maintain the quiet environment and privacy of living as a member of our assisted living community.

Where you choose to live out your retirement years impacts virtually every aspect of your life, and we understand that this is an important and major decision. You deserve to reside somewhere where you feel fully comfortable, safe, cared for, and at peace.

      Frequently Asked Questions

How is pricing determined for senior assisted living?

We determine pricing based on the size of the room you choose and whether you prefer a private bathroom or a shared bathroom. We charge one set price, which includes care, room, and board at a low monthly cost.

What is the difference between residential senior care homes vs. senior care facilities?

Our residential senior care communities resemble homes, with private rooms and warm, comfortable shared spaces. In contrast, some senior care facilities feel more like medical centers where the environment is more sterile and less personal.

What level of care do you provide for seniors?

Our senior assisted living communities seek to balance independent living with personalized senior care. We have staff available 24/7 and doctors who round regularly, but for residents who need a higher level of care, we may instead recommend our memory care program. We would be happy to meet with you personally to discuss our services and find the right fit.

      TESTIMONIALS

Rocky Mountain Assisted Living and Memory Care is the best company I have ever worked for. I have been a CNA for 22 years and have worked in several different work environments. I have worked in nursing homes, assisted living homes, done home care, run an adult family home and RMAL has provided the best work environment. The residents are very well taken care of, and employees are taken care of as well.
